Built in the 1920s, this apartment complex contains 104 apartments, some of which are two-level townhouses. This complex is recommended for children, as a play area is located on the grounds. Holden Green spans the city line between Cambridge and Somerville. It is located near Harvard's Law, Divinity, and Design Schools, and is within walking distance of Harvard Square. A large grocery store is within a ten-minute walk.

Effective August 20, 2009, HRES has implemented a pilot short-term rental program for Botanic Gardens, Holden Green, and Peabody Terrace. Under this new program, affiliates may now choose to sign a lease with a December 31, 2009 or January 21, 2010 end date, rather than the usual June 30, 2010 end date.
