To be included in the first View and Select window assignments for the 2009 leasing season, applications must be received by the Harvard Housing Office between 12:00 a.m., Eastern Standard Time, March 1, 2009 and 5:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time, April 26, 2009.
Applications received and approved at any other time will be assigned to the last available View and Select window. All approved applicants, regardless of their application date, are eligible to view Currently Available listings.

Rent Setting Policy

In keeping with Harvard University's fair market rent policy that was established in 1983 by a faculty committee, rents for affiliates who sign a new lease have been set at prevailing market rates. These published rates are subject to change. The committee determined that market rate pricing was the fairest method of allocating apartments and that setting rents for Harvard University Housing below market rate would be a form of financial aid that should be determined by each individual school not the rent setting process.
